Alocasia 'Regal Shields'
A cultivated hybrid developed in Florida, Alocasia ‘Regal Shields’ resulted from a cross between Alocasia odora and Alocasia reginula. It forms a compact plant with thick, durable leaves and a distinctive dark upper surface. The leaf undersides have contrasting tones, with conspicuous veins on both surfaces. Its inflorescence contains separate female and male flower zones on a central spadix, surrounded by a spathe. Photographed in Florida.
