Its white to pinkish-white flowers have a narrow lower tube that expands into a broad funnel, ending in five spreading lobes with slightly curved margins. The flower clusters usually extend beyond the adjacent leaves. Long, slender fruits contain numerous seeds with tufts of hairs. In Costa Rica, it grows in cloud forests between about 2,600 and 4,600 feet. Photographed in Florida.
