Allium fistulosum (Welsh Onion)

Native to China it has a long history of cultivation and culinary significance in Asian cuisine. The flavor of the plant is milder than that of regular onions. Cultivated between 5,200 and 8,900 feet in Colombia where photographed. Photographed in Cundinamarca, Colombia.
