Ageratina pentlandiana is a shrubby flowering plant in the Asteraceae family, native to the montane regions of the Andes in Peru. The flowers are typically lavender to pinkish-purple, and the unopened buds have a distinctive rounded, scale-like surface that appears deep pink to magenta. Photographed in Peru.
