Agastache 'Kudos Yellow'

A horticultural hybrid developed by Terra Nova Nurseries in Oregon, this compact perennial herb was selected for its dense yellow flower clusters, long flowering season and short stature. The leafy plant reaches about 20 inches tall, with flower stalks rising to roughly 27 inches. Golden-yellow, two-lipped tubular flowers grow in whorls along upright spikes from summer into autumn. It has aromatic foliage and becomes dormant in winter. The flowers attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. It tolerates drought once established but needs excellent drainage, especially in winter. Photographed in Florida.
