Aeschynanthus radicans (lipstick plant)

Native to Southeast Asia, this evergreen perennial climber grows on trees and rocks in humid forests. Its stems can trail or creep, producing roots that anchor them to their support. Red tubular flowers emerge from darker, cup-shaped calyces. It is presumed extinct in the wild in Singapore. Photographed in Florida.
