Aeschynanthus 'Fireworks'

This cultivated hybrid is an evergreen trailing perennial vine bred by Bill Saylor in Massachusetts. It was developed for a manageable growth habit and abundant flowering. Clusters of tubular orange-red flowers have flared lobes with dark markings, and the stamens project beyond the flower openings. Flowering can recur intermittently throughout the year. Photographed in Florida.
