Long pink Aechmea Little Harv bracts extend beneath branching clusters of pale buds

Aechmea 'Little Harv'

Developed in South Florida by Bullis Bromeliads, this perennial bromeliad hybrid forms upright rosettes of gray-green foliage with silvery markings. Its flowering display rises above the leaves, combining salmon-pink bracts with branching yellow floral structures. Plants can reach about three to four feet when flowering. It produces new shoots, called offsets, at the base of the rosette. Each rosette flowers once, with the offsets continuing the clump as the older rosette declines. Photographed in Florida.
