Aechmea latifolia
Native to northern South America, Aechmea latifolia is a terrestrial or epiphytic bromeliad recognized for its showy, conical inflorescence densely packed with bright orange tubular flowers. The plant thrives in humid tropical environments and is typically found in lowland rainforests, especially in areas with filtered light. Its broad, strap-like leaves form a basal rosette capable of holding water, a characteristic trait among tank bromeliads. Photographed in Colombia.
