Onoseris (species unidentified)
Native from southern Mexico through Central America to tropical South America, this genus contains thirty-one species of flowering herbs and shrubs in the daisy family. Its greatest diversity lies in the Peruvian Andes. The flower heads consist of many small florets, with outer florets often forming conspicuous rays. Species occur in a variety of habitats, including montane vegetation, and differ in leaf shape and flower color. Photographed in Florida.
