Paphiopedilum Astonishingly Presidential

Developed by Lehua Orchids from Presidential Moon and Astonishingly Wood, this perennial hybrid slipper orchid is noted for pink coloration accented by spotting. Its large flower has a prominent upper sepal and an inflated pouch-shaped lip. Selected plants have received American Orchid Society awards for flower quality. Like other Paphiopedilum hybrids, it grows in leaf fans and lacks the pseudobulbs found in many other orchids. Photographed in Florida.
