Paphiopedilum Amusingly Wood

Developed by Lehua Orchids from Delightfully Wood and Magically Wood, this perennial hybrid belongs to the slipper orchids. Its flowers combine a broad upper sepal, spreading spotted petals, and a deep burgundy pouch. The pouch is a modified lip rather than a separate petal. New leaf fans grow beside older ones, allowing established plants to form clumps that can be propagated by division. Photographed in Florida.
