Peperomia ilaloensis
Native from northwestern Venezuela to Ecuador, this perennial herb or small subshrub grows in moist Andean habitats, on rocks or partly as an epiphyte. Its stems and fleshy, smooth leaves have a pleasant scent. The slender flower spikes are pale green, and the fruits can turn red. In Bogotá, Colombia, it grows on rocks at about 9,400 to 9,600 feet. Photographed in Colombia.
