A pale pink Medinilla myriantha flower has curved purple filaments and yellow anthers among white buds

Medinilla myriantha

Native to the Philippines, this epiphytic tropical shrub grows on trees in wet forest habitats. Its branching flower clusters lack the large showy bracts of Medinilla magnifica. Pinkish flowers have conspicuous curved stamens. On Mount Makiling in the Philippines, it flowers and fruits throughout the year, with seasonal peaks. It belongs to the melastome family and is sometimes called rose-grape medinilla. Photographed in Colombia.
