Tiny pale Euodia hortensis flowers form branching clusters beneath long pointed leaves

Euodia hortensis

Native from New Guinea through the Solomon Islands to Vanuatu, this evergreen shrub or small tree grows in wet tropical habitats. Its aromatic foliage and clusters of small cream-white flowers make it useful in gardens, hedges, and screens. The flowers attract butterflies. It can be propagated from seeds or stem cuttings. It has been introduced to Queensland, Fiji, Samoa, and other Pacific islands. Photographed in Florida.
