Ipomoea triloba has two small pink funnel-shaped flowers with deep purple centers beside heart-shaped green leaves

Ipomoea triloba (Littlebell)

Native from Mexico through tropical America and the Caribbean, this slender annual or perennial vine climbs by twining or trails over nearby ground. Its stalked leaves are heart-shaped to broadly ovate and may be divided into several lobes. Small lavender to pink funnel-shaped flowers occur on smooth stalks, with pointed sepals bearing fine marginal hairs. The species grows in disturbed sites and can flower throughout the year in warm climates. It has become introduced beyond its native range. Photographed in Colombia.
