Allomarkgrafia brenesiana
Native to Costa Rica and western Panama, this climbing plant occurs in humid cloud forests, scrub and forest edges. Its white to pinkish-white flowers have a narrow lower tube that expands into a broad funnel, ending in five spreading lobes with slightly curved margins. The flower clusters usually extend beyond the adjacent leaves. Long, slender fruits contain numerous seeds with tufts of hairs. In Costa Rica, it grows in cloud forests between about 2,600 and 4,600 feet. Photographed in Florida.
