Teloschistes exilis yellow-orange branching lichen tufts growing along a woody stem

Teloschistes exilis

Teloschistes exilis is a foliose to shrubby lichen recorded in tropical and subtropical parts of the Americas. Yellow-orange lobes form small branching tufts on bark and exposed twigs, where the lichen consists of a fungus living with photosynthetic algae. Pale granular areas may cover portions of the thallus surface. Photographed in Colombia.
