Native to French Guiana and northern Brazil, Stigmaphyllon palmatum is a tropical woody vine of humid forest vegetation. Its yellow flowers have five broad, finely fringed petals surrounding a compact reddish center. The blossoms occur in small branching clusters beside glossy leaves, while flexible stems climb through neighboring plants. Photographed in Florida.
