Spathiphyllum cannifolium


A perennial herb native to humid tropical American forests, Spathiphyllum cannifolium grows on shaded forest floors and in wet lowland vegetation. Its flowering structure consists of a cream spadix surrounded by a pale green to white spathe. Large glossy leaves rise individually from the short basal stem. Photographed in Colombia.
