Saurauia serrata

Saurauia serrata is a shrub or small tree native to parts of tropical Asia. Its broad leaves have conspicuously serrated margins and strong lateral veins. Branched flower clusters carry small white blossoms with five petals and many yellow stamens concentrated at the center. Fleshy fruits follow the flowers and contain numerous tiny seeds embedded in pulp. Photographed in Florida.
