Salvia oppositiflora

Salvia oppositiflora is an Andean perennial or shrub native to Peru and Bolivia. Upright stems bear opposite leaves and conspicuous red-orange tubular flowers arranged in separated groups. The corolla has a long narrow tube and a projecting lower lip, while the calyx remains close to the stem. It occurs in high-elevation shrubland and open slopes, including habitats above 9,800 feet.
