Rogiera amoena dense rounded clusters of small pale pink tubular flowers above deeply veined leaves

Rogiera amoena

Rogiera amoena is an evergreen tropical shrub native from Mexico through Central America. Opposite leaves have prominent veins, and rounded terminal clusters contain many small pink tubular flowers with four spreading lobes. The species grows primarily in seasonally moist forest. Research-grade observations document it in Panama. Each tubular corolla ends in four rounded lobes, while the flower clusters are supported by repeatedly branching terminal stalks. Photographed in Colombia.
