Monoon longifolium tall narrow evergreen trees with layered drooping branches beside a building

Monoon longifolium

Monoon longifolium is an evergreen tree native to the Indian subcontinent. Its long, narrow leaves hang from distinctly drooping branches and emerge in coppery shades before turning green. Small greenish flowers are followed by clustered fruits. The tree is widely planted in tropical cities and gardens for its tall, narrow form. Research-grade observations document it in Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama. Photographed in Colombia.
