Peperomia peltigera

Peperomia peltigera is a species native to Ecuador in the pepper family. It is a fleshy-stemmed herb with thick leaves and slender, branching flower spikes bearing many minute flowers. The compact floral structures lack the conspicuous petals seen in many ornamental plants. Research-grade observations document the species across Ecuador, where it occurs in tropical Andean vegetation. Photographed in Colombia.
