Passiflora miniata vivid red flower with contrasting white and dark central corona

Passiflora miniata

Passiflora miniata is a wet-tropical climber native from western South America to western-central Brazil. Its documented native range includes Colombia and Peru, and iNaturalist also records research-grade observations in Panama. The large flowers have vivid red segments surrounding a contrasting pale-and-dark corona, making the species distinctive among tropical passionflowers. Photographed in Colombia.
