Desmodium axillare

Native to Belize, Bolivia, northeastern Brazil, northern Brazil, southeastern Brazil, and southern Brazil and nearby regions, it is an herbaceous plant in the Fabaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 0 to 10,500 feet. It grows on non-woody stems and produces flowers among or above the foliage. Photographed in Colombia.
