Dombeya × Seminole
Dombeya burgessiae ‘Seminole’ is a tropical flowering shrub native to southern Africa, where it grows naturally in warm lowland regions. This variety, often referred to simply as the pink wild pear, is cultivated widely as an ornamental plant due to its showy floral clusters. The flowers are borne in dense, hanging heads and can persist on the plant for several weeks. The ‘Seminole’ cultivar is recognized for its striking pink flowers. The blooms typically measure about two inches across and display a deep pink tone that softens as the flower ages, creating a multicolored effect within a single cluster. Photographed in Florida.
