Clerodendrum minahassae
Clerodendrum minahassae is a rare tropical flowering tree native to the Philippines and parts of Indonesia. It grows naturally in humid lowland forests and is valued for its striking clusters of tubular white flowers, each with elongated petals that curl back slightly and vivid red stamens extending well beyond the corolla. Flowering occurs in flushes, producing a dramatic display against the deep green foliage. The flowers are fragrant, releasing a noticeable scent especially in the evening hours. Photographed in Florida.
