Buddleja coriacea
A shrub native to the high-altitude regions of the central Andes in Bolivia and Peru. The plant is evergreen, with small, narrow, lanceolate leaves densely covered in a fine layer of silvery hairs. Flower clusters appear primarily at branch tips, forming dense cymes that produce a striking contrast between the velvety foliage and the vivid blooms. Each tubular corolla measures about 0.4 inches (1 cm) long, with four slightly spreading lobes, and exhibits shades of orange to deep reddish-orange depending on age and environmental conditions. Photographed in Peru.
