Dendrobium Little Green Apples
Created by crossing Dendrobium Green Elf with Dendrobium convolutum, this ornamental orchid hybrid is grown for its long-lasting flowers. It belongs to the Latouria group of dendrobiums, which have large, leathery leaves near the tops of their stems. The flowers are carried in sprays and retain their lime-green color for an extended period. Their yellow-green sepals and petals surround a three-lobed lip patterned with dark purple stripes and spots. The raised sides of the lip partly enclose the central column. Photographed in Florida.
