Originating from Mexico to northern South America. The Mesquite, is a species that exhibits remarkable resilience and adaptability. This species is characterized as a thorny tree, which can grow up to 15 feet in height and is known for its thick, scaly bark and sharp thorns that can grow up to 2 inches long. Mesquite produces fragrant, golden-yellow flowers and pods that are edible and sweet to taste, containing hard seeds that are difficult to extract.
