This ornamental plant is known for its entwining habit, growing to heights of around 6 to 10 feet, thriving along roadsides, fields, thickets, and waste areas, particularly in sunny locales. The Morning Glory has several medical applications. Its seeds, being anthelmintic, diuretic, and laxative, are utilized for treating conditions like edema, oliguria, ascariasis, and constipation. The seeds contain trace amounts of the hallucinogen LSD, which has found use in treating certain mental disorders.
