Nerium oleander shrub with salmon colored flowers
Nerium oleander

A large drought tolerant evergreen shrub originates from Europe and Asia. A very popular ornamental in tropical and subtropical climates. Flowers are borne in terminal clusters, in colors of white, yellow, red and pink for long periods. It loves heat and sun. All parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested. In Colombia I have seen dry cuttings of this plant sold in the food markets with other herbs. Not sure for what purpose, but an AI study of oleander indicated that it can be a senolytic drug. Photographed in Colombia and Florida.
