Albizia lebbeck (Siris Tree)

Native to Andaman Is., Assam, Bangladesh, East Himalaya, India, and Myanmar and nearby regions, this is a tree in the Fabaceae family. It is widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. Flowers in shades of cream or pale yellow, afterward, it produces flattened, brown seed pods containing seeds that serve as a valuable food source for wildlife. Its wood is prized for its durability and is used for carpentry, furniture, and as fuelwood.
