Ageratina (species unidentified)
This genus of perennial herbs and shrubs is native to the Americas, from Canada to Chile and northern Argentina, and the Caribbean. Its clustered flower heads contain many tiny tubular flowers, usually white or lavender, without the broad outer petals seen on many daisies. Long, slender style branches give the open heads a fluffy appearance. The small, dry, one-seeded fruits carry a tuft of bristles. Photographed in Colombia.
