Strychnos panamensis
Native from Mexico through Central America to Venezuela, it is a woody climber of lowland and foothill forests. Small pale flowers develop into rounded yellow-orange fruits held among glossy opposite leaves. The fruits contain several seeds, and coiled tendrils help the stems climb into surrounding vegetation. Photographed in Panama.
